Just two days later, it was 65 degrees outside and all the snow had melted. We actually went to the park without jackets!!!

At the Park
The day after Christmas, Grammie and I took the boys to the park. There was still snow on the ground so Caleb decided that he would make snowballs, throw them down on the ground and then stomp on them. He had a blast!

Christmas 2008
Caleb and Micah had a great Christmas this year. There were lots of trains for him under the tree. We were all grateful for the wonderful year we've had. It was great to be surrounded by family...we were so glad that Grammie could come up and join us and we missed those who couldn't make it this year. Aunt Peaches & Uncle David...we'll be seeing you in sunny Florida in a few days!!! :-)
Here are some pics of Christmas morning...

This one is of Caleb in the car on the way home from Aunt MaryAnn's house on Christmas night. He was completely wiped out from the last two days!!
On Christmas Eve, we had everyone over for some dinner. It was great to have everyone here and Caleb had a great time.

Back in September...
I found this today and realized that we never posted it. It was Caleb's actual birthday and we took him to the park. It was also Micah's first trip to the park...

Brrrrrrrrrrr
We went to the park this morning and it was FREEZING (and snowing just a little bit)!! I swear this is the only time I've ever been to the park at 11:00 am and it's completely empty. Poor Caleb, I had him in so many layers, it's amazing that he was even able to move! He's a trooper about keeping his hat on but the mittens are another story. Sometimes he's good about them, sometimes he's got no patience for them.
Why is it that we feel the cold so much more as adults? I could have sent him outside in shorts & a t-shirt and I don't think he would have complained. He was just happy to be at the park.

Micah, as usual, slept through the whole outing. I'm not sure he's really even seen the outdoors. He falls asleep before I even get the stroller down the stairs.

The one above is Caleb on this duck they have at the park. He loves the duck. He covets the duck. It doesn't do anything...you just climb on it and sit, but he has to sit on it when he gets there. Unfortunately, more than one kid has felt the wrath of Caleb because he or she was on the duck when Caleb wanted to be on it.
"Want a hot dog Mommy?"
"Sure, Caleb, I'll take a hot dog."
(He hands me a pretend hot dog and then stands there with his hand out for a minute.)
"Don't eat it yet! You have to pay for it, Mommy!!"

The one above is Caleb trying to put Micah's sock on. It really bothered him that one of Micah's socks fell off and he actually sat there for a while trying to put a sock on to his foot while Micah was kicking like crazy. Notice how Caleb is holding Micah's foot??
"Stop kicking, Micah! No, Micah, hold your foot still. NO MORE KICKING, MICAH!"
